About Me

Hi, my name is Stuti!

And this is my corner of the Internet to share my summer stories from Sierra Leone!

I am a student at the Harvard Kennedy School, aspiring to learn everything I can to make a difference in the world around me. Closing out an intense year of econometrics, policy, and leadership classes, I’m excited to test out the skills and ideas learned in the classroom outside of it. And thanks to the support of the Women and Public Policy Program (WAPPP), I get to do exactly that in Freetown.

Born and raised in India, I am drawn to chaotic cities facing big challenges that require creative solutions. Whether its harnessing data to make urban spaces safer for women or redefining community led maternal healthcare, I am happiest when I'm learning something new and building systems that make things better. Working with the Mayor's Delivery Unit in Freetown, I hope to do both things in a new country but on a familiar issue - gender inequity.

This blog is my space to share my adventures from Sierra Leone as I explore its policies, meet new people, and partake in different experiences. And while I'll miss summer in Cambridge, I cannot wait for 9 weeks of learning, discovering, and growing in  Freetown!
